Tokyo Consortium, in collaboration with TMIP (Tokyo Marunouchi Innovation Platform), will be holding an event with the theme of smart cities, "SMART CITY REVERSE PITCH." Large companies searching for promising startupssumitomo life insurance> <BIPROGY> <Mitsubishi Estate> <Takenaka Corporation> We will conduct a reverse pitch and arrange a meeting place for startups who wish to collaborate with large companies. Also, in the talk session, we will work on edge AI.Idein>With Mr. Koichi Nakamura, representative of <ITOCHU Corporation> <Aisin> We will be inviting you to talk about examples of cross-sector collaboration, which is important in the smart city field.

For startups working on smart city-related businesses, this is an opportunity to meet large companies looking to collaborate. For business companies involved in smart city-related businesses, it is an opportunity to gather information such as trends and case studies, and to network with related businesses. Representative Director/CEO Koichi Nakamura

Born in 1984, from Iwate Prefecture. He studied optimizing compiler technology for supercomputers in the doctoral course of the Department of Computer Science, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, University of Tokyo. He wanted to take on the challenge of turning the physical world into data using AI/IoT technology, so he dropped out of university and established Idein Inc. in 2015. In 2018, he was the first Japanese individual to be selected as an "ARM Innovator" by the British semiconductor giant ARM.

Aisin Co., Ltd.

Mr. Susumu Osuga, Director of Cybernetics Development Office

Born in 1979 in Nagoya. After joining Aisin Corporation, he was transferred to Kazuo Kaizuo's laboratory at the University of Tokyo to research HMI.
We have developed a driver monitoring system that detects whether the driver is distracted or falling asleep, and a camera AI that detects obstacles around the car. In recent years, in addition to camera AI, we have been developing an empathetic conversational AI agent "Saya" with the aim of creating an HMI that is optimal for humans. Received ACC Gold at the 2022 R&D100 Awards in the U.S. and the 2022 ACC Tokyo Creativity Awards (respectively jointly awarded with Toyota Motor Corporation, TELYUKA, etc.)

    Born in 1982, worked at Creative Consulting Firm before becoming independent, and after managing the company for 7 years, assumed current position in 2023. Since 2008, he has specialized in innovation and cities, working from conception to execution, and is promoting value creation through "comprehensive knowledge" that goes beyond science, technology and design to include art and humanities. [Main achievements] Osaka station redevelopment, knowledge creation base Knowledge Capital, general production participation, Shibuya redevelopment Shibuya-QWS, general production participation (basic plan, implementation plan, PoC co-creation program overall director), Umekita 2nd phase area development project Proposal concept etc.

    TMIP is an organization run by the OMY Environmentally Symbiotic Town Development Promotion Association, and is a collaboration between large companies, startups, government, and academia to create an innovation ecosystem in the Marunouchi area (Otemachi, Marunouchi, and Yurakucho). It is an open innovation platform that supports the creation of innovation by solving social issues. Including our members and partners, we have over 250 organizations.
