[For working adults and students] BUSINESS IDEA CAMPUS Entrepreneurship education Let's think of business ideas

Overview

The Tokyo Consortium is working to strengthen ecosystem hubs centered on universities.

At this event, you can experience entrepreneurship education and how to create business ideas through a workshop where students and working adults discuss business and social issues faced by companies together.

Titled BUSINESS IDEA CAMPUS, we will begin with a lecture from Waseda University professor Mirako Shimaoka about the importance of learning entrepreneurship education and how to think about creating business ideas.
Next, companies active on the front lines in the Tokyo area will give presentations on business issues and social issues they would like to discuss with students.Finally, we will hold a workshop based on case studies.

Even if you are not a member of the Tokyo Consortium, you can participate as long as you agree with the purpose of the Tokyo Consortium and become a member, so if you are interested, please feel free to join us.

Speakers/panelist:

  • Professor Mirako Shimaoka
    Waseda University Research Strategy Center Professor Mirako Shimaoka
    Completed doctoral course at Waseda University Graduate School of Public Management (Doctor of Public Management). In 2011, he became an assistant at Waseda University's WBS Research Center, Faculty of Commerce, and an associate professor at the same university, before assuming his current position in 2021.

    In 2019, he became the executive director of the WASEDA-EDGE Human Resource Development Program, which was adopted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's EDGE Program and EDGE-NEXT Program, and was implemented at Waseda University.

    Graduated from the Waseda University School of Political Science and Economics in 2022. From the same year, he joined Tokyu Corporation.
    Currently engaged in the formulation and promotion of Tokyu Group's Shibuya town development strategy "Greater SHIBUYA 2.0", as well as PR work for the entire area.
  • Senior Investment Director Daisuke Suzuki
    Sony Ventures Inc. Senior Investment Director Daisuke Suzuki
    Graduated from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Tokyo, and obtained a master's degree in regenerative medicine from the Graduate School of the University of Tokyo.
    After working at Goldman Sachs' investment banking department, he was in charge of management restructuring and new business creation after restructuring at Japan Airlines. After that, he established and managed an infrastructure investment fund for renewable energy etc. as a domestic fund.

    Since 2017, he has been a venture capitalist at Sony, and in 2019 he established a new GP company, Innovation Growth Venture, became a director, raised a new fund, and established it. In 2020, the Sony Environmental Impact Fund was established. In 2021, he became Senior Investment Director of Sony Ventures Corporation (current position). Head of Fund Raising, Head of Enterprise SaaS/IoT, Health Tech, and Environmental Tech
