Startup Ecosystem Tokyo Consortium held the "DX/Smart City WG" on Thursday, March 2023, 3 at Global Business Hub Tokyo. On the day of the event, Mr. Tatsuki Shiminami, Representative Director and CEO of Scheme Verge Co., Ltd., and Mr. Fumi Sohaku, Executive Director of Suito Creation Partners General Incorporated Association, will be on stage to talk about collaboration between large companies and startups in the DX/smart city field. A panel discussion was held to discuss ways to move forward and future developments. Afterwards, participants divided into small groups to discuss the direction of DX/smart city initiatives in the Tokyo area.

scheme verge was founded in 2018, and since 2019, with support from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, we have been working on the application Horai as a tourism MaaS platform for the Seto Inland Sea area. In addition, we are developing services from the perspective of local users, and we also provide analysis tools for the collected human flow data. Until now, we have mainly worked on tourist spots and coastal areas, but recently we have also been using it for area management in the city center, and we are considering developing area management in conjunction with boat transportation in Tokyo as well.
Suito Creation Partners was established in 2017 and is made up of 13 private companies including developers and railways. We are mainly working on three businesses: revitalizing boat transportation, utilizing data obtained through digitalization, and area branding in collaboration with developers.

The reason why Suito Soso Partners collaborated with scheme verge is that scheme verge does not just have the technology, but also the fact that it promotes business while collaborating and building relationships with a variety of local stakeholders. It all started with what I felt. In the Seto Inland Sea area, which is the first collaborative project between the two companies, we will partially develop and introduce Suito Sosou Partners' pier reservation management system for scheme verge's water taxis, allowing them to make reservations for pier reservations. It was a project to simplify. Since then, in Tokyo, we have linked Horai's functions with an e-commerce site that not only makes reservations for docks but also sells boarding tickets.
As for future business development, scheme verge is considering developing a business that meets the needs of developers in urban areas who want to integrate measures in each area and manage the overall picture. In local areas, we are considering working with local governments to advance our business, and then collaborating with general contractors and other private companies to develop our business.
As for the future business development of Suito Sosou Partners, we will proceed with detailed urban development while linking with the data of scheme verge, and will ultimately lead to the revitalization of boat transportation and shipping businesses nationwide through systemization. We are considering.
Discussions were divided into three themes: medical care, the environment, and mobility.
A medical-themed group suggested forming a platform for elderly people to have lunch together.
A group with an environmental theme raised the idea of using digital technology for various shared uses in daily life.
A group focused on mobility expressed the opinion that it is necessary to utilize empty spaces and attract customers through event planning.
